Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
The Trading Circle operates thetradingcircle.org and tradingcircleeducation.com.
To contact us about privacy, or to make a request about your information:
Email thetradingcircle.help@gmail.com, or use our contact form.
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information we collect through thetradingcircle.org, why we collect it, who receives it, and what rights you have. Our education site has its own copy of this policy; our Discord server and any third-party platform you reach from here are governed by their own policies as well as this one.
3. What we collect
3.1 Contact form
If you use our contact form we collect:
- the email address you enter, and
- the message you write.
Important: this information is not stored in a database on our servers. It is formatted and delivered as a private message through Discord to the person who handles enquiries. It therefore resides in that Discord conversation, subject to Discord’s Privacy Policy, until deleted.
We use it only to answer you. Please do not send account numbers, passwords, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information through this form.
3.2 Creator applications
If you apply to a creator campaign, the application is collected through a Google Form. Google processes that data on our behalf under Google’s Privacy Policy. We use it to evaluate your application, communicate with you about campaigns, and administer payouts.
The categories of information that form collects are: your name, email address, social media handles and audience figures, and — where a campaign involves a payout — the payment details needed to pay you.
3.3 Server logs
Our web server automatically records standard request data each time a page is loaded: IP address, date and time, the page or file requested, browser type and version, and the referring page where one is sent. We use this only to operate the site, diagnose faults and protect against abuse, and we do not use it to build profiles of visitors. Logs are rotated and deleted automatically within 30 days.
3.4 Discord community
If you join our Discord server, Discord collects and processes your data under its own privacy policy. We see your Discord profile and the content you post there. How we may use content you post is described in our Terms of Use.
3.5 Automated and AI processing of Discord content
We use automated systems, including an AI language model, to read messages posted in certain channels of our Discord server and compile summaries from them — most visibly the daily recap of analyst posts, and the statistics derived from it.
What this means for you:
- Content you post in those channels is processed by an automated system and may be summarised, quoted, or aggregated into published figures.
- That processing involves sending the content to a third-party AI provider.
- No automated decision is made about you. These systems summarise posts; they do not evaluate, score, profile, rank, or make any decision affecting any individual.
- Automated summaries can be wrong. We say so plainly in our Disclaimer, and you should not treat automated output as verified.
If you do not want your posts processed this way, do not post in those channels.
4. What we do not collect or use
- No cookies. This site sets no cookies of any kind. That is why there is no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Plausible, Matomo, Clarity, Mixpanel, Segment or Hotjar.
- No advertising or social pixels. No Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel, no conversion tracking.
- No third-party scripts, fonts or stylesheets. Every asset on this site is served from our own server, so your browser makes no requests to outside companies simply by loading a page.
- No cross-site tracking, fingerprinting or behavioural profiling.
- No browser storage. We do not use localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB.
- No accounts, passwords or payment collection on this website.
5. We do not sell or share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used under California and other state privacy laws. We do not disclose it to data brokers.
6. Affiliate links
Some pages link to partners who pay us a commission. When you click one you leave our site, and that company’s privacy policy governs what happens next. Partners commonly set their own cookies and can tell that you arrived through our link, which is how referrals are credited.
We do not receive your personal information from them — only aggregate referral and commission data. We have no control over their practices; review their policies before signing up. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
7. Who else is involved
| Party | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Discord, Inc. | Contact form messages; community content and profile data if you join | Delivering enquiries and running the community |
| Google LLC | Creator application submissions; any email you send us | Hosting the application form and our email |
| DigitalOcean, LLC | Server request data including IP address | They host the site |
| Our AI provider (Anthropic) | Messages posted in the Discord channels we summarise | Compiling the daily recap |
| Affiliate partners | Only what you provide to them directly after clicking through | Crediting referrals |
We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
8. How long we keep things
Contact messages remain in the Discord conversation they were delivered to until deleted; we remove them once an enquiry is resolved and there is no ongoing reason to keep it. Creator application data is retained for the duration of the relationship and for as long as needed for tax and record-keeping. Server logs are rotated and deleted automatically within 30 days.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
To make a request, email thetradingcircle.help@gmail.com or use our contact form. We will respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need longer. We may need to verify your identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10. Do Not Track
We do not track visitors across websites or over time, so there is no tracking for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. We honour Do Not Track by default because we do not track at all.
11. Children
This site is not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 to use our Services (see our Terms of Use). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly — tell us and we will act.
12. Security
This site is served over HTTPS and access to the systems holding any personal information is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Where we operate
We operate from the United States and our servers are located there. This site is intended for a United States audience. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new “last updated” date, and material changes will be announced on our Services. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
15. Contact
Questions about this policy, or to exercise any right above:
- Email thetradingcircle.help@gmail.com
- Or use our contact form
Email you send us is received in a Google-hosted mailbox, so Google processes it as our email provider.
